I’m planning to build a PC later this year with an RTX 5080 and 32GB of DDR5 6400MHz RAM. I’m trying to decide between the Intel i7-14700KF and the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. What would be the better choice for high-performance gaming and productivity tasks?

If you’re mainly focused on gaming, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the way to go. It excels in gaming scenarios. But if productivity is also a big factor for you, the i7-14700KF might edge out, especially for tasks that require heavy multitasking. It can handle multithreaded workloads fairly well. I’d recommend checking out some benchmarks based on your specific use case to see how they stack up for what you plan to do.
