I’ve maxed out my staggering shot for 90% stun and I’m currently considering which arquebus to invest in. For context, my stats are Might 5, Dexterity 15, and Perception 14. Here’s what I’ve found about the two top contenders:
**Heavenstrike** deals high frost accumulation with power attacks, making it a strong choice for a devastating opener against bosses. It boasts 406 damage and 400 stun, one-shotting most enemies, including normal elites.
**One Last Trick**, on the other hand, has bullets that bounce and can hit two additional enemies for added chaos. It offers 369 damage and 364 stun and is faster, usually stunning about three enemies with each shot. It’s effective for crowd control, as two shots can eliminate multiple weaker foes.
My second loadout incorporates dual pistols and I’ve been toying with which arquebus to fully commit to as I delve deeper into Galwain’s Tusks. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

You can upgrade both if you want! Just be careful with points in attributes; I focused on balancing mine to maximize effectiveness. And don’t skip Radut and Amalia’s quest for that handy Ashfall’s Legacy Ring—it’s a game-changer!
One Last Trick is awesome for stacking reload speed with its ricochet ability, though Heavenstrike definitely delivers the highest damage output. If you’re focusing more on mob control, go for One Last Trick. If it’s single-target bosses you’re after, you’ll want Heavenstrike!
If you’ll be using your arquebus frequently against groups, definitely go with One Last Trick for its ricochet ability. But if you need a weapon for sniping or bosses, then Heavenstrike is the way to go for maximizing single-target damage!
It’s a tough choice! I used Heavenstrike and a dual wand setup towards the end of the game, but One Last Trick was my go-to before that. The ricochet on One Last Trick is super fun but I agree, Heavenstrike feels way too overpowered!
I used One Last Trick for a long while, but once I got Heavenstrike, it changed the game. That frost damage is just way too powerful, especially with gear that enhances frost effects!
I did a pure firearm ranger build and maxed out reload speed with quick switches. One Last Trick followed by dual pistols can deal crazy damage in a short duration!
