Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade the storage on my Steam Deck. It currently has a 64GB SSD, and I find it a bit inconvenient running off just my 512GB SD card. Since I’m only 15, my parents won’t let me do the upgrade myself. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend any trustworthy companies or tech stores in the UK that offer this service. I can buy the SSD from IFixIt or somewhere else, I just need a place to help install it for me!

You should definitely buy the SSD yourself and then look for local repair shops that can do the installation for you. Most shops will have the tools they need, and you don’t need the IFixIt kit. Just make sure to read reviews of those shops to find a reliable one!
I get that you’re a bit hesitant, but honestly, if you follow a guide, upgrading it yourself is totally doable! That said, lots of small local PC repair shops are likely to offer this service. It might be worth checking them out, but I’d recommend trying it yourself if you’re feeling up to it!
I appreciate the encouragement! I feel like I could manage it, but since my parents bought the Steam Deck, they’re worried about me risking any damage. I don’t want to go behind their back either!
