Hey everyone! I’m curious about how much longer we can expect updates for Halo Infinite. It seems like the game might be running out of content, and I feel like by late this year or early 2026, we might only see fixes and minor updates left. Also, do you think the next Halo game will be announced in 2026? If I’ve missed any official word, please let me know!

I’ve heard early rumors about a ground-up remake of Halo: Combat Evolved aiming for a late 2026 release. If that’s true, it should be announced at the showcase next month, since Halo games usually get unveiled a year ahead of their release. But honestly, I’m not sure about the Game Awards being a viable announcement spot.
I think the announcement for the next game is likely in 2026, with a release possibly in 2029 or 2030. That’s just a guess, though!
Please let this be wrong! If true, I’m going to be seriously bummed out.
If you’re looking for any major announcements, the next big Xbox event is in June. After that, check the game awards in December—if we don’t see anything then, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a new Halo game soon!
Nothing’s confirmed at the moment, but I’d put my bet on a new Halo dropping in 2027 based on whispers around the community. Just fingers crossed they keep pushing out content until then; it’s been a solid ride lately!
Definitely agree! 2026 feels too stacked with other big games, like GTA 6, so I’m also thinking 2027 sounds right.
I see your point, but if it’s this upcoming showcase, we should have heard some leaks by now. I’m leaning towards a 2027 release if there’s no news in June.
