Hey everyone! I’m wondering how much longer we can expect updates for Halo Infinite. It seems like they’ve released most of their content. I’m thinking that by the end of this year or early 2026, there might not be any major updates left, just minor fixes. Also, when do you think we might see the announcement for the next Halo game? Could it be announced in 2026? If I missed any news on this, let me know!

The next Xbox event is coming up in June, and the Game Awards are in December. If we don’t see any new Halo announcements at the June event, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a new game anytime soon.
I haven’t seen anything confirmed yet, but it seems likely we might get the new Halo in 2027. I just hope they keep giving us fresh content for Infinite until then—we’ve had a decent flow lately!
It’s looking like the new Halo game could be announced in 2026, with a release potentially in 2029 or 2030. That’s what a lot of folks are speculating. But I think it’d be kind of funny if Infinite was stretched to a 10-year lifespan. Who knows what they have planned?
If that’s the case, I seriously hope you’re wrong! That would just be too much to bear.
Yeah, I do think they might give us a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved soon, possibly next year!
There are early rumors about a complete ground-up remake of Halo: Combat Evolved that could release by the end of 2026. I think we might hear more about it next month at the showcase! Typically, Halo games get announced a year before release, so I doubt they’ll rush the marketing for it.
But if we’re not hearing anything about it leading up to the showcase, I’m skeptical about a 2026 release. I feel like 2027 is a safer bet unless something is kept really under wraps.
Yeah, it’s tough to tell. I hope they prove us wrong, though!
Exactly! With GTA 6 coming out, I can’t see them launching a new Halo in 2026, so 2027 sounds about right.
