I’ve got three bottles of basilisk oil but haven’t used any yet. I’m currently in Act 2 and haven’t encountered many chances to use them. Should I keep them for later or is it okay to sell them?

Basilisk oil is quite useful, especially in certain situations. You can use it on petrified beings like the drow you encounter in the Underdark after defeating the beholder. It’s also handy for reversing the effects of the Flesh to Stone spell. So, don’t rush into selling it just yet; you might find better use for them later on!
Honestly, it doesn’t matter too much what you choose to do with the basilisk oil. I think I only used one on the dwarf in the hag’s lair and didn’t find much use afterward. It really depends on your play style!
Keep your basilisk oil for Act 3! You can turn Minsc to stone when dealing with his friends and then use the oil afterward to save him. Just make sure you deal with Ethel first, or you might lose him if you don’t.
