As a fan who grew up in the 90s, I’ve been reflecting on how the Pokemon series evolved over the years. Personally, I feel that everything after Generation 3 (Hoenn) just doesn’t hit the same way. I played through the games until the Game Boy Advance era and recently got back into it with titles like Let’s Go, Shield, and Arceus. It honestly feels like there was a lack of creativity at Pokemon HQ after Gen 3. I’m really curious to hear what you all think about this!

Totally hear you! Some designs like Palossand are pretty wild, and not in a good way. Sometimes it feels like they took a lazy approach with newer Pokemon. But I think it’s important to find the gems hidden in later generations too!
I get where you’re coming from, but I think not all the later generations are bad. Generations 4, 5, and 7 had some solid entries and creative ideas! Plus, it’s worth noting that not every early generation was perfect – some argue that Gen 2 didn’t quite measure up to the first.
Haha, I agree! Some designs are definitely questionable, but there are still some cool ones that came out after Gen 3!
