I’m curious about everyone’s thoughts on the original Pokemon compared to their regional variants. Take Lilligant for example – I love the original design, but I’m not a fan of the Hisuian version at all. I just can’t get over those elongated limbs and awkward face. Plus, why is it Grass/Fighting when Hisuian Decidueye was introduced in the same game? What regional variants have you loved or hated?

Honestly, Hisuian Electrode is pretty disappointing too. It didn’t change much aside from getting a Grass type. It’s still weak and doesn’t feel powerful at all! Meanwhile, Samurott is just over the top now.
Man, don’t even get me started on Alolan Persian. It’s like they tried to make something cute and failed miserably. I’d pick Kantonian Persian any day over that weird, round mess!
I’d say I love both forms of Lilligant, but Alolan Persian? No thanks, I can’t stand it! Also, Galarian Ponyta is cute, but I prefer the originals – they just feel more unique.
Galarian Rapidash is kinda a miss for me too, it’s like they had no creative ideas left.
I actually enjoy Alolan Ninetales more than the regular version! But yeah, Hisuian Lilligant is a letdown for me too, that human-like look is just off-putting.
I feel you on Lilligant! But for me, it’s all about Galarian Meowth – I’m really not a fan of that design, though I do like its evolution, Perrserker. Hisuian Sneasel is alright, but I definitely prefer the Johtonian version.
Haha, I thought you meant someone named Johnathan too when I saw that comment! I missed that meme too!
Regional variants are cool, but some miss the mark. For instance, Combat Breed Tauros feels lazy. The Aqua and Blaze Breeds at least had different designs. And don’t get me started on Hisuian Qwilfish – it’s just a typing swap, not a redesign!
Yeah, but I love its evolution, Overqwill! It really kicks some butt in battles.
Right? I read it was based on a British Shorthair, but they should have made the floof more obvious instead of that bloated head.
