With the recent successes of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil 8, it seems like Capcom is leaning more towards action-packed horror games. Personally, I’d love to see a game like RE7 but with more variety—it could really outmatch the newer remakes if the formula is improved. What do you all think?

I’m a fan of the originals, honestly. I liked RE8 more than the RE4 remake, but I’ve never been too keen on the fourth one.
I’m definitely craving a return to the more isolated, fear-driven gameplay we had in RE7. I mean, cutting out enemy drops, shops, and flashy moves like spinkicks could really amp up the horror again. I’m not sure if Capcom is going that route, but fingers crossed!
Both action and survival horror work for me, but I really think we need a solid survival horror game next. After the push towards action in RE7 and RE2 Remake, let’s get back to survival horror for the next one and save the action for later!
Totally agree! Plus, I think alternating between the action and survival styles might keep things fresh. Consistent survival horror games would balance things out so they don’t overdo the action.
