I’m really curious to hear about everyone’s favorite job classes in RPGs! Why do you love them? Feel free to mention more than one if you have a few favorites. Personally, I’m a big fan of Black Mages and Sages. I just think mages have the best outfits, and I’m all about that magic! Black Mages have such iconic imagery, and Sages are the perfect blend of both Black and White Magic.

I might be basic, but White Mage is where my heart lies! I think they’re super underrated. I’d love to see a character evolve from a White Mage into a Paladin – imagine a healer wielding a weapon with pure light energy! That would be epic!
I think the Dragoon class is awesome! They just look great with their armor and climbing attacks. I have a soft spot for Mog as a pseudo Dragoon in FFVI, plus I main a Dragoon in FFXIV, they’re just super fun to play!
For me, it’s definitely the Thief class. Even if they’ve fallen short in games like Final Fantasy I or are lacking in stats in Tactics, I still love the idea of a fast-moving, dual-wielding character with daggers. There’s something fun about playing that agile role, dodging hits and striking quick!
I’m a fan of Blue Mages! They add an interesting twist to gameplay since their abilities can really change the flow of battle, no matter your or the enemy’s level. Plus, many of them have really unique and intriguing backstories!
Geomancer has always intrigued me! It feels like an underused class in FF games nowadays. I wish it was expanded upon more instead of being an afterthought with spells like Quake just turned into normal attacks. We need more Geomancer love!
That sounds like a cool playstyle! I haven’t explored the Thief class much, but I really enjoy playing Yuffie and Rikku from what I’ve seen, especially in games like Kingdom Hearts.
