I’m curious to hear everyone’s favorite mainstream Resident Evil game and what makes it special to you! Personally, I really enjoyed the Resident Evil 2 remake for its thrilling horror elements, engaging gameplay, and incredible story. But I also have a soft spot for Resident Evil 5—playing it co-op is an absolute blast, and I love the Mercenaries mode! What about you?

I’m really into the storytelling aspect, so the originals of RE2 and its Remake are interchangeable for me. But gameplay-wise, I have a soft spot for the original RE3. It had great puzzles and a fun ammo crafting system. The exploration kept me engaged, which is what classic survival horror is all about!
For me, it’s definitely a tie between the original Resident Evil 2 and its remake. Both versions offer an amazing storyline, but I have to say that the gameplay experience of the remake feeling fresh and intense puts it on top for me. However, you can’t go wrong with the original—pure nostalgia!
I totally get that! The nostalgia from the originals is something really special. It’s great how they brought back that feeling in the remake.
My top picks would have to be Resident Evil HD Remake, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 4 Remake. Each one has a unique charm and delivers an unforgettable experience. The HD Remake was just a beautiful upgrade to a classic, and I love the atmosphere they created in these games!
Agreed! The puzzles in RE3 really stood out to me as well. It had this thrilling balance of challenge and fun.
