I’m curious to hear everyone’s opinions on this! Personally, I love the Dark Sun setting from D&D. It’s such a unique take on the post-apocalyptic genre, full of rich lore and interesting gameplay dynamics. What about you all? What games have captured your imagination in this theme?

Does Gamma World count? It’s got that wild and crazy vibe which is so fun. I also lean towards Twilight 2000 for something a bit more grounded. Really depends on what mood I’m in!
Gamma World is a blast, especially with all the randomness in character creation!
I’d say I’m torn between Mutant: Year Zero and Twilight: 2000. Both have their unique flavors—MYZ has that gritty survival aspect, while Twilight offers a more realistic military campaign vibe. It’s hard to choose! Definitely give them a shot if you haven’t yet.
I totally agree! MYZ has such a great setup for adventures.
I’m all about Apocalypse World. It’s such a solid system for sandbox design and storytelling. Plus, the themes perfectly nail the gritty feel of post-apocalypse. What’s not to love?
I hear you! I’ve recently been trying out the new Burned Over version and it’s fantastic!
Currently, I’m into Ashes Without Number. The blend of classic RPG elements with a fresh take on post-apocalyptic themes is just great!
I’m so excited to run this! Have you managed to get a copy yet?
Same here! Can’t wait to dive into it once it’s available.
Yeah, I came here to shout out Gamma World! Who doesn’t love some nostalgia?
