I haven’t played Overwatch in about a year and a half, and now that I’m back, I’m really puzzled by Mercy’s healing. When I used to main her, I felt like I could keep my teammates alive with her healing, but now it just feels… underwhelming. I was in a couple of games where I thought I was doing great with continuous healing, yet when I checked my stats, I was only at about 2,000 healing, while Moira was at 3,500! I don’t get it, I was constantly healing! I even played Ana in another game, thinking I was doing well, but she ended up outhealing me, which blew my mind. Can someone help me understand how Mercy fits in the game now? I really don’t think she’s meta anymore.

Mercy’s utility has shifted a lot over time. These days, she’s less about raw healing output and more about her ability to damage boost and resurrect teammates. Honestly, she’s got one of the lowest heals per second among supports, but that’s just how she’s designed. You’re not supposed to be a healbot with her. Focus on damage boosting your DPS when possible instead!
Yeah, I totally get that! Mercy really shines when you can help your team get those quick kills, especially with her damage boost.
