Hey all! I’ve been away from Minecraft for quite a while, probably last played around version 1.8, and I’ve decided to jump back into the game now. I’m interested in trying out texture packs to enhance my experience, but I’ve completely forgotten how to go about getting them. Can anyone suggest some reliable sources for downloading texture packs and provide a simple step-by-step guide on how to install them? Thanks so much in advance!

Modrinth is actually another great option for downloading texture packs safely. While I haven’t used it extensively myself, I’ve heard it’s a secure platform. Besides, you might want to check out PlanetMinecraft as well. They offer a broad variety of texture packs and are known for being pretty reputable.
The safest bet for downloading texture packs is to head over to CurseForge. It’s a reliable platform for both mods and resource packs. First, download the texture pack you want, then press the Windows key + R, type “%appdata%.minecraft”, and hit Enter. This will take you to the .minecraft folder, where you can find the ‘resourcepacks’ folder. Just drag your downloaded texture pack file into this folder. Alternatively, you can open Minecraft, head to Options, then Resource Packs, and open the folder from there to make things easier.
Thanks for the advice! Have you checked out Modrinth? I saw a texture pack there that caught my eye.
