Hey everyone! I’m thinking about starting a streaming series where I play through the classic games from every year. So, I want to know, what’s the oldest game currently available on PC that I could kick things off with? Any suggestions?

Don’t forget about chess! It might not be a video game in the modern sense, but it’s certainly one of the oldest games around and can still be found online.
If we’re talking classic video games, Pong is often cited as the oldest. The Atari Vault collection has it, and it doesn’t get much older than that!
You might want to look into MUDs from the 1980s; some of them are still online! They really represent the early days of PC gaming.
Shout-out to the community from Gemstone IV! I’ve played that one for ages.
Don’t overlook the Oregon Trail! It’s a timeless classic that still holds a place in gaming history for many of us.
Technically, any game can be played on a PC thanks to emulators. So if you’re open to that, the options are nearly limitless!
I think Alakabeth was released in the 70s for the Apple II and Zork has its roots in those early text-based games. Both are still playable if you can find them!
Fun fact: Pong didn’t even use coded programming like games today, it was all hardware! How wild is that?
