I used to play The Elder Scrolls Online a while back and primarily used the werewolf build, but I found the combat style too static for my taste. I’m looking for a more dynamic, action-oriented class or build to get into. Has there been any significant changes or new options added in recent years? I’m a solo player and I’m just not into the whole casting or tab-targeting vibe anymore.

What do you mean by “most action” though? I mean, every build in ESO has its skills, and you typically can only use one skill at a time plus basic attacks like light and heavy hits, rolling, and blocking. Honestly, werewolf isn’t that different action-wise than other non-heavy attack builds. What specifically did you enjoy about being werewolf?
If you’re aiming for action combat similar to an FPS, I’ve heard that the Arcanist’s beam build is a pretty solid choice! It might give you that immediate reaction feel you’re after.
You can actually tab-target in ESO? I had no idea! I usually just aim for whatever enemy I want to hit. If you’re looking for a more action-oriented class, I’d recommend trying a two-handed weapon or dual-wielding. They feel way more fast-paced compared to standard builds. Regular combat in ESO is already pretty action-packed compared to other MMOs, so you might find what you’re looking for without going too far from your roots!
Yeah, definitely give two-handed a shot! It feels much less like you’re just button-mashing, and it gives a good balance of offense and mobility.
I liked the simplicity and not being stuck in long animations, if that makes sense. Some skills back then felt super floaty, which was frustrating. But it’s hard for me to articulate, sorry!
