I’ve been curious about the Valparaiso’s total survivability in combat. Specifically, if you factor in everything like heals, flags, captain skills, and any other health-focused upgrades, what’s the highest theoretical HP the ship can reach? I’m not planning to buy it myself, but I’d love to know the math behind how much damage you’d actually need to take it down.

From what I’ve gathered, the Valparaiso has about 71,600 base HP, which can go up to roughly 75,180 with certain flags active. The real kicker is its healing: with 8 heals, a flag, and a slot 5 upgrade dedicated to recovering HP, it can regenerate around 183,000 HP. Add that to its base health, and you’re looking at about 258,000 total HP in a perfect setup.
Yeah, the numbers stack up to a theoretical total of roughly 240k HP when you combine direct HP and heals. However, it’s important to keep in mind that some damage types affect healing. For example, fire damage is fully healable, but penetrations only get about 85% healed, and torpedoes or citadel hits can severely reduce healing effectiveness. So, in real fights, you probably want to think of it as closer to 216k effective HP rather than the max heal + HP sum.
Good point about damage types. So even if heals are strong, some hits still chip away at its actual health pool.
Exactly! Also, since you need a certain amount of penetration damage to trigger a full heal, usually around 23-24k per heal, you endure a bit of irreparable damage each time. But with 8 heals, that’s still manageable before your healing gets overwhelmed.
That’s way higher than I expected! So the healing basically triples its survivability compared to its base HP.
