Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to Fallout 76 and I’m trying to understand the unwritten rules around public events. I joined the Scorchbeast Queen event, helped take her down (I was using an auto axe, which I thought was a fun choice), and looted her immediately after. However, I got some negative reactions from other players who seemed upset. Are there any specific expectations or rules I should know about to avoid stepping on anyone’s toes?

It’s usually not cool to kill the Queen too quickly, since some players might want to farm other enemies that spawn during the event. If she goes down in less than 30 seconds, people can get a bit frustrated.
Nah, don’t take it personal! A lot of those reactions might not even have been about you. As long as you did over 1k damage, you should be fine on loot. Some players might be more about farming than just beating her fast, and they could’ve just wanted to stretch the fight out a bit.
Totally get that! I usually check the vibe first—if they’re farming, I’ll help out, but otherwise, I say go for it with your auto axe!
