I’ve heard varying things about the availability of The Last of Us Part II on Steam, especially regarding region locks. Some folks claim that if PSN isn’t available in your country, you can’t get certain games like TLoU II. However, I’ve been able to play games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War 4 without any issues in my region. So, why is TLoU I readily accessible, but the second game isn’t? Does anyone know if Sony plans to change this restriction?

The reason you can access some games might be that they were released before all the PSN requirements kicked in. While they’ve made the PSN login optional now, the ban on countries without PSN still applies to newer titles like TLoU II, which sucks!
Where are you located, by the way?
TLoU II is actually banned in several regions, mainly due to censorship related to different cultural and religious beliefs. This might explain why it’s not available in your area. It’s a shame because the game has pretty intense themes, and I totally get that frustration!
I’m based in the Philippines, and it’s just so frustrating! I’ve had consoles for ages, but the exclusivity of TLoU II really stings. I waited forever for it to be on PC, and now I can’t even play it! What a joke!
