I’ve heard that there’s a catch with the Indiana Jones game for PS5, and I’m a bit confused about it. Apparently, even if you buy the physical version, there’s something about a license involved. Does that mean I have to enter a one-time license key or something? Or will the disc not have all the game content, meaning I need to be online to play? Also, what happens if I buy a used physical copy? Any insights would be super helpful since I’m really looking forward to this game! KALIMAAAAAAAAA!!

From what I’ve gathered, the disc you get is primarily just a license to download the game. You’ll have to download a lot of the content, as the entire game isn’t stored on the disc itself. So buying the physical version doesn’t mean all the data is there right off the bat. It’s essentially just a key to access the game online.
If you’re thinking about getting the disc version, keep in mind that many people are wondering why to buy it at all since you’ll need to download most of the game anyway. But I guess they can be cheaper when bought second-hand!
Yeah, I believe the disc doesn’t actually contain the full game. Instead, it seems like you’re going to have to download most of it. People are saying that the disc functions more like a physical license—unlike games from first-party developers where everything you need is on the disc itself.
There’s a lot of speculation about what’s actually on the disc. Some folks think it can’t possibly hold everything because the game is around 130GB, while standard discs only support around 100GB. However, PS5 games often utilize better compression, so it’s hard to be sure without more info from the developers.
