I’ve been hearing a lot of complaints about Imbue Druids lately, especially from players of other classes like Priests, Mages, and Hunters. It seems like we’re all ignoring how Druids can easily put out massive threats, like 16/16s, without spending any mana. I’m curious—how can they generate so many imbue effects without actually using them? And what’s up with them getting to leverage neutral imbue cards? Can anyone break this down for me?

I’ve noticed that a lot of matches drag on way too long. If you’re letting a Druid get to 16/16, you probably shouldn’t be surprised! They need time to ramp up those big boys. You really need to put pressure on them early.
One reason they seem to gain imbuements without actually using imbue spells is due to a specific Legendary card that activates extra imbue triggers right from the start of the game. As for the double-dipping with neutral cards, they can’t really stack them; it’s just perceived that way, but they do need to work for it!
Imbue Druid tends to struggle against aggro decks. If you press your advantage early, there’s a good chance they won’t be able to keep up with their big minions later in the game. The key is to win the game before they can start rolling out those heavy hitters!
Basically, to get those big 16/16s every turn, Druids need to play a ton of neutral imbue cards. It’s not like they just pop out strong minions for free, though! They usually have to cast a good number of spells—24, in fact, to maximize that threat. If you’re struggling to keep up with their board presence, it might be more of a strategy issue than a class imbalance.
In my experience, this deck can snowball hard—if you let them! Their board clears are quite limited, so if you can flood the board with annoying minions or pressure them, you can often take them down. Stay aggressive and control the pace of the game, and you should have a winning chance against them.
