I’ve been having some weird problems ever since I added a second NVMe drive to my computer. My Wi-Fi fails to work unless I power down completely, drain the power by pressing the button a few times, and then turn it back on. When the Wi-Fi isn’t working, it doesn’t even appear in the device manager. I’m wondering if this issue is somehow related to the new NVMe. I initially had my NVMe drives in slots 3 and 4, but I moved them to slots 1 and 2. I’d like to know what the correct slot configuration should be! Right now, my main NVMe is above the graphics card, and the second one is in the first slot of the second trio. By the way, my motherboard is a Gigabyte X670 Gaming X AX V2.

It sounds like you’re experiencing a classic resource conflict. If possible, try moving one of your NVMe drives from slot 3 to slot 2 (M2A_CPU and M2B_CPU). This can sometimes help with performance issues by balancing the PCIe lanes. Just make sure your CPU supports enough lanes—28 should be good! That said, your current setup shouldn’t cause problems under normal circumstances, but it’s worth checking the configuration to be sure.
Thanks for the tip! I have them in slots 1 and 2 (M2A_CPU and M2B_CPU) right now. I was concerned if the Wi-Fi would act up again, especially after it’s been shut off overnight. When I restart the PC, it seems to work fine, though. I checked CPUZ, and my GPU is running in x16, so it looks good. I’ll monitor it!
