I’m trying to find a way to play Forza Horizon 4, but it looks like it’s no longer available in the store. Is there a legitimate method to get it on my Steam Deck? Also, for those who have experienced both FH4 and FH5, is FH4 performing significantly better on the Deck?

Unfortunately, there’s no official way to get FH4 anymore. It’s been delisted, so you’re pretty much left out of luck if you want to stay legal. You can always grab FH5 instead, though! It’s pretty much like FH4, just different settings and seasons. Some players love it, while others feel a bit let down compared to FH4’s more diverse landscapes.
If you’re looking to get it right now, there’s no legit way since it’s not on sale anywhere anymore. You might find it on some sketchy sites that sell accounts with it bundled in, but I wouldn’t recommend that route. Just stick with FH5 for now.
I snagged FH4 before it was pulled, and I can say it runs pretty smoothly on the Steam Deck. If you already have it, you’re in good shape! But for someone new, you’d have to settle for FH5 or try unofficial methods, which I can’t really endorse.
Both FH4 and FH5 perform really well on the Deck. If you’re keen on experience, FH4 is still epic with great smoothness! Just sucks you can’t buy it officially anymore.
Just a heads up, I saw that key resellers might have codes for FH4 through Xbox or Microsoft Store but you can’t run that on Linux, only on Windows. So if you’re sticking with your Steam Deck, that’s not going to help much!
Yeah, I felt pretty disappointed with FH5 too. FH4 had such cool scenery in Great Britain while FH5 is mostly just desert. They really missed a chance to make it as exciting.
