I’m really curious about Celestine. It seems every time someone talks about her, it’s mainly about her getting defeated – like when Kharn took her down or how she was nearly killed by Abaddon until Greyfax stepped in and saved the day. I get the feeling there’s some plot armor involved, especially with her track record of getting taken out. Plus, I’ve heard whispers about a ship between her and Greyfax, but I wasn’t sure if that was just fan fantasy. Can anyone shed some light on what Celestine actually does? She looks awesome, but I feel like I only hear about her failures or the unlikelihood of that ship!

Celestine really shines as a support hero. While she might not be the one to directly tip battles in her favor, she inspires those around her to fight harder and longer. Her background gives her a unique edge, as she’s meant to instill hope rather than deal the final blow. If you’re looking for raw power, you might want to check out Ephrael Stern instead, who’s more of the hammer of the two.
Celestine is known to be a martyr, destined to sacrifice herself repeatedly for the Imperium’s sake. In *The Living Saint*, she dies, but then wakes in a shadowy realm and feels drawn to the remains of her past lives – literally wearing them like armor to continue fighting. So yes, she gets taken out a lot, but that’s part of her character’s depth. Her resilience is what makes her fascinating, even if it seems she’s always losing in the heat of battle.
One of Celestine’s major claims to fame is stopping the Cicatrix Maledictum from spreading to Terra, which is kind of a huge deal! So, while she might take some losses along the way, her impacts on the lore are significant and often go unnoticed.
Yeah, it’s true. Celestine’s not solely about physical might; her presence alone boosts her allies. But what she did during the Cicatrix Maledictum is quite epic and really showcases her importance in saving the Imperium overall.
