I’ve recently gotten into Pokémon by watching some videos and I want to jump into the games. Unfortunately, I’m on a tight budget and can’t afford any gaming consoles. Are there any good options for playing Pokémon on PC? I’ve heard about Pokémon Unbound and Pokémon Fusions, but would those be suitable for someone just starting out? Or would Cobblemon be a better choice?

Check out Pokémon Xenoverse! It’s a great fan game available on PC, packed with new features and a fresh storyline that still pays homage to the classic series.
I’d recommend giving PokéMMO a shot. It’s a really fun way to experience Pokémon and you can play with others online, which adds a social aspect. Just download the ROMs for the correct games, and you’re good to go!
If you have a smartphone, there’s also a ton of ROM hacks and emulators available. You could either play a classic game to experience the original story and gameplay, or dive into fan-made games for a fresher twist. Just think about whether you’re more interested in the storyline or battling.
If you’re looking to play Pokémon on your PC, I suggest getting a GBA or DS emulator and downloading ROMs for games like FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald, HeartGold, SoulSilver, and more. That way, you can enjoy some of the best classic Pokémon games without spending a dime! Let me know if you want tips on setting this up!
Sounds awesome! Is it beginner-friendly, or will I get lost in it?
