I’m trying to get Minecraft Bedrock running on my Linux Mint Cinnamon laptop. It isn’t powerful enough for the Java version. I’ve already attempted to use MCPelauncher to play, but I couldn’t log in with my Google account, and I’m not sure how to get the APK for Minecraft. Are there any alternative methods to play Bedrock?

You should definitely check out Flathub for a Bedrock player. They have a Minecraft Bedrock Launcher that could work for you. It’s a solid option to try!
If you’re having performance issues, definitely consider the Sodium mod! It can really enhance performance significantly. Also, what’s your system specs? It might help figure out the best approach.
And there’s no ARM emulation for this, so that complicates matters. Mojang’s focused on x86 builds.
Also, don’t overlook the possibility that Java actually runs well on devices like the Steam Deck! If your laptop specs are decent, it might still be worth giving the Java version another shot.
Honestly, the Minecraft Bedrock Launcher from Flathub seems to be your best bet right now, especially if you’re looking for something reliable. I can’t think of any other options that’ll work better as of now.
Surprised to hear you can’t run Minecraft Java! Have you tried using Prism Launcher with a Fabric installation and the Sodium mod? It really helps boost performance. If you’re using MCPelauncher, make sure to look at its documentation for accurate setup info.
Yeah, a lot of people don’t realize that there are x86_64 APKs for Minecraft Pocket! But still, Java generally runs better on most setups.
