I’ve seen some videos that show players one-shotting deer in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and I’m really curious how it’s done. I have a 300 crossbow, but I’m wondering if I need better bolts, any special potions, or if there’s a specific way to increase my chances of a one-shot kill. Should I be using poison on my bolts, and if so, which one? Also, does where I hit the deer matter?

Using dollmaker’s poison seems to be a popular choice among players. It can really increase your chances for a one-shot kill when using crossbows. Just make sure you aim for the right spot too!
From what I’ve gathered, a combination of high-quality bolts, your Marksmanship rank, and aiming for the right target spot (like the head or neck) is key. Once my stats improved, I could drop deer with just one shot without as much sway. It’s a total game-changer!
Don’t forget about the Heartseeker perk! It can definitely give you an edge when aiming for those one-shot kills.
I’ve found that Bane poison actually works better for one-shot kills. It might be worth trying that instead!
