I’m trying to figure out how to craft Ultracite .50 ammo in Fallout 76. Could anyone share the main ingredients or steps needed for crafting it? I’ve heard something about a Tinkerer’s workbench and the prime receiver plan but would love a detailed breakdown. Thanks!

To make Ultracite .50 ammo, you need to head to a Tinker’s workbench. Don’t forget to scroll down to find the Ultracite options. The main components you’ll need are stable flux, lead, and gunpowder. Also, make sure you’ve got the plan for the prime receiver, which you can get from the Scorchbeast Queen. Once you learn that plan, you won’t find it again for that character. It’s essential for crafting the ammo!
Unfortunately, that’s the main way! You could also check if any other players are willing to trade plans.
You don’t actually need to craft Ultracite .50 ammo if you don’t want to. You can prime a standard .50 cal or buy one instead. Participating in Angry Turtle ammo runs can also net you a ton of ammo without crafting. Just keep the gun with you while exploring the wasteland, and loot all the containers you find. Trust me, you’ll end up with thousands—my stash has over 100k without making a single round!
That’s awesome! Any specific spots you recommend for grinding those ammo runs?
Check out the usual raid locations; they’re great for ammo drops!
Are there other ways to get the prime receiver plan besides the Scorchbeast Queen? Just trying to explore my options!
