Hey everyone! I’m curious about submachine guns because I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions on their effectiveness. Some folks are saying they’re not really worth it and that one-handed weapons don’t offer enough advantages. I recall that the Reprimand was considered one of the worst guns, but I heard it might have improved with the recent updates on attachments and recoil. I’m thinking of getting another warbond and possibly snagging the Reprimand to pair with the Talon for some longer-range fights, as I want a hands-free loadout. Has anyone tried them out recently? What do you think about the current SMG options?

I love the Reprimand; it’s my favorite SMG right now, and while it’s technically the only one that’s not two-handed, it hits harder than many others. I usually run the Talon as my sidearm, and it really works well with the Reprimand. If you time your shots right, you can stretch a single heat sink for quite a bit.
The Knight’s performance shines when you deck it out with a foregrip and a muzzle brake. Pair that with a resupply backpack and quick reload for primary armor, and you’re practically a beast in close to mid-range encounters.
Since the customization update, I’ve found that the Reprimand and the Knight are actually pretty solid choices now. They were totally underwhelming before, but they’re pretty great now. Just a heads-up, though, the Reprimand isn’t actually one-handed like you might think from your comment about a hands-free loadout. The Defender and Pummeler also got some buffing, but I’m not really a fan of those yet.
Get the Knight up to level 3 for the Vertical Fore Grip and Flash Hider, and switch to burst mode if possible. You’ll get near laser-like accuracy at mid-range and can prevent running out of ammo too quickly. In burst mode, it outperforms both the Lib and LibCarb while still letting you keep your hands free to carry something else.
I totally thought it was one-handed! Thanks for clarifying.
