Hey everyone! I’ve never dived into any Final Fantasy games before, but I’m thinking about giving them a shot. Any recommendations on which one I should start with? Also, I’m not really into the Japanese art style, so do you think I’ll still enjoy the game?

If you’re hesitant about the art style, I’d recommend Final Fantasy 6 or 10. They tend to be less ‘anime’ than other JRPGs, and 10 has a fantastic story and gameplay that’s pretty accessible for newcomers.
If you’re considering the 2D style, 4 or 6 are great starting points. Just keep in mind that FF1 is pretty basic, so it might not hook you like the others.
There are quite a few mainline games, so it depends on your tastes! If you like retro vibe, go for 4 or 6. If you’re up for some modern flair, definitely check out 7 (especially the remake) or 16!
Just jump in and try one! Honestly, it’s tough to predict if you’ll love a game without trying it out first. You might want to browse some gameplay videos before making a choice.
