I’ve been playing this awesome game for around 80 hours and I’m now level 40. I mainly enjoy playing as a sniper and primarily fight against bots. I’d love to hear your favorite sniper builds or gear setups that work well in this role. Currently, I always use the anti-tank sniper rifle, paired with an Eagle, and either the ammo backpack with gatling turret combo or the orbital railgun with guard dog backpack to cover me while I pick off enemies from a distance. For my primary weapon, I use the sickle since it’s solid for close encounters when bots rush me or when I need to rush an objective with my team. I have fun with this setup, but I’m curious about other cool builds or loadouts fellow divers swear by for sniping bots.

Try some siege ready armor—it really buffs your AMR ammo reserves and reload speed. Combining that with the anti-tank emplacement lets you explosively pick off entire bases of bots or heavy units from a safe distance. This setup shines on maps where you can find a good vantage point for long-range sniping.
Make sure your build can handle heavies that get too close. I suggest carrying at least two options like Ultimatum, Thermite, EAT, or Commando to deal with them. Also, having a solid primary weapon like Purifier or a stratagem like the HMG emplacement helps clear hordes quickly when the fight gets wild.
Honestly, most scopes feel a bit underwhelming, and third-person shooting tends to be more reliable. If I’m sniping bots, I run the Diligence Counter Sniper as my main weapon, backed by an autocannon for support. The autocannon is great against light enemies like Hulks and Chargers, especially with flak ammo to clear chaff, plus it helps finish objectives faster. The AMR might seem promising but in my experience, it doesn’t hit harder than the Diligence Counter Sniper enough to justify switching.
One great loadout I’ve found for bots includes the Deadeye sniper (or DCS if you prefer), paired with Ultimatum and Thermites for utility. For stratagems, I use the Groundbreaker CE-27, jump or hover pack depending on mission length, along with the Quasar, rocket sentry, and autocannon sentry. This combo works solidly across many difficulties. For medium difficulty, swapping Ultimatum for Talon helps take out chaff swarms more efficiently.
You should definitely try the R-63 Diligence sniper rifle. It’s fantastic for headshots and really trains your aim. Pair it with the Quasar Cannon since it doesn’t suffer from bullet drop, letting you line up shots with the rifle before finishing with a long-range blast. Beyond those, pick whatever secondary gear you like, but those two form a solid core for sniping bots.
