I’m looking for the best mod manager for Oblivion, specifically with the Oblivion: RE edition in mind. I’ve heard that Vortex doesn’t work on Linux, is that true? Would I be able to use it through Distrobox or a Windows VM? I really want to access and potentially publish official Nexus mod collections. If Vortex isn’t a viable option, what third-party mod manager do you recommend for modding Oblivion? By the way, I’m switching from Mint to CachyOS soon for driver compatibility and plan to set up Distrobox using BoxBuddy. My laptop has two M2 SSDs—one for the operating system and another dedicated to games and recordings.

I came across a mod manager called Limo that might work for you. I bookmarked it recently, but I haven’t tried it out yet. You can find it here: https://github.com/limo-app/limo. Let me know if you give it a shot!
I’ve tried to get it set up, but it didn’t work well for me, especially with script extenders in other games.
Have you heard about Bottles? I saw a video saying it can actually run Vortex! Might be worth checking out.
