Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade my gaming setup and I’m curious if anyone here has experience playing Overwatch 2 on a PC with either an RTX 5080 or 5090 combined with a 4K monitor. Specifically, I’d love to know what kind of FPS you’re getting on full Ultra settings. I’m trying to decide between getting a 165Hz or a 240Hz monitor. Do you think the RTX 5080 can handle 4K gaming at 240 fps on Ultra, or should I just go for the 5090 instead? While Overwatch is my main focus, I’ll be playing other games as well, so advice on overall performance would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have an RTX 4080 and play at 4K on a 165Hz monitor. It runs really smooth, easily hitting the refresh rate. I think the 5080 will do just fine for you at high FPS in Overwatch 2—no need to go for the 5090 unless you really want to.
I’m getting around 320 FPS with my 5080 at 3440×1440, and it drops to about 190-200 if I upscale to 4K. Honestly, I think a 240Hz monitor would be worth it, especially if you utilize DLSS for better visuals and performance. It’s a game changer!
So, would it be smarter to grab the 5090 if I want to play more demanding games? And what exactly does DLSS do for FPS?
Could you check your FPS with it uncapped? I’m curious how high it can actually get!
