What's the Best Budget Gaming PC for My Brother?

I’m planning to buy my brother a gaming PC for his birthday next month, and I want to ensure I get the best value for my money. I know prebuilt PCs sometimes get a bad rap, but I’m not confident enough to build one myself due to time and knowledge constraints. I want to find a PC that allows him to play most games smoothly without having to spend a fortune—ideally not more than $800. He’s been using a really old Dell PC with just 8GB of RAM and limited storage for ages, and I want to help him upgrade. Any recommendations for budget PCs that deliver great performance?

You might want to check out the PowerSpec G235 at Microcenter. It’s got an RTX 4060 and is priced around $850. At your budget, targeting a GPU like that or at least the 3060 Ti would be ideal, since that makes the biggest difference in gaming performance. Keep an eye on open box and refurbished deals, too, as they can save you some cash. Just make sure you test it out before gifting it!
