I’m looking to buy the ASUS TUF A15 with a Ryzen 7 7435 HS and an RTX 4050, but I’m concerned about battery life since it doesn’t have an integrated GPU. Will I be able to get around 3.5 to 4 hours of productivity work done (like using MS Office, handling documents) without being plugged in?

There are a few things to consider here. Do you actually need a gaming laptop, or could you manage with something more tailored for productivity? If you plan on playing lighter games like Fortnite, Minecraft, and Valorant, then battery life may not be a huge concern for basic tasks. Plus, you could use tools like Ghelper to optimize your device for low-power work situations. Just beware that the dedicated graphics card will use some power regardless.
Honestly, expect about 1.5 to 2 hours maximum with moderate usage. If you’re looking to stretch that time further, tweaking settings might help, but it’s not going to be a huge improvement. Also, if battery life is critical for you, consider looking into other TUF models with different CPUs that might suit your needs better.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll check for alternatives. Any specific models you’d recommend?
Since you’re sticking to less demanding games and mainly doing light activities like browsing, you should be fine for short spans without needing heavy battery life.
