I’ve been trying to figure out what everyone loves about Grand Theft Auto. Personally, I find that the writing, gameplay, atmosphere, and visuals don’t seem impressive. What do you think makes this franchise so appealing that I might be overlooking?

Honestly, one of the main draws is the sheer freedom the game offers. You can do just about anything you want!
Totally get that it’s not your thing. There are so many types of games out there, and GTA just might not be your cup of tea!
I think the huge appeal of GTA is how it has always pushed the gaming industry forward. The stories are really well-written—especially in games like San Andreas and GTA IV. Of course, everyone has their own opinions, but it’s hard to understand how people can miss the brilliance of this series!
I was the same way back in the day! I grew up playing platformers like Ratchet and Clank. But then in high school, my teacher showed us a reaction video to GTA V, and I was blown away by the gunplay and the open world! It really changed how I viewed GTA. It became a fun escape when I needed a break from other games. I’d say give it another try!
I think it’s mainly a matter of taste; not everyone vibes with the crime drama theme in these games.
