Hey folks, I just caught the 2025 ESO Direct and it got me curious! It’s been years since I played Elder Scrolls Online, and the new subclass system looks pretty interesting. Have you been back playing lately? Do you find the game still worth your time? Also, do you mostly solo or stick with a guild or group of friends? Would love to hear how you’re enjoying the game these days and your take on the new content!

I recently hopped back into ESO myself about a month ago. I’ve mostly been soloing but just joined a pretty active guild with a Discord, which has made the experience more social and fun. I’m working on finishing some long-standing goals, like getting to Grand Master Crafter level. It’s a slow grind but feels rewarding!
I’m usually a solo player and pretty chilled about it. I’m in a trade guild but prefer to tackle most content on my own. The subclasses seem really cool, especially for lore reasons since I’m not big on min-maxing or meta builds. It lets me customize stuff that fits my headcanon and playstyle. Just gotta remember stuff like trials are still all group-based!
True, soloing can handle a lot but you gotta team up for trials since they’re group stuff. Still, it’s nice that you can do a lot on your own at your own pace.
I tried returning after seeing the new subclass system, but I ended up rolling another Necromancer and kind of regretted it. Feels like I might quit again because of repeating the same class mistake, haha.
I’m really excited about the subclass system but also thinking hard about character choices. The main class you pick at character creation still matters a lot with this new system. I even considered deleting my main to rethink which class to focus on. From what I’ve heard, having characters of different main classes unlocks their skill trees on all your toons, so you mostly need just one character per class unless you want new looks or more inventory space.
Yeah, Grand Master Crafter definitely sounds like a beast to complete! I can imagine collecting all those writs and books takes a lot of patience. I often find myself zoning out and skipping the story bits, but ESO is perfect for just relaxing along with a podcast or some music.
