I’m making a switch from a gaming headset to a mic and headphones for my PC setup. After some digging, I found the Samson Q2U as a great mic, but now I need help picking a headset. Sound quality is my top priority since I game and chat with friends, and I really want something that won’t overwhelm my sensitive ears with bass boosts. Any recommendations for a headset that has excellent audio quality and decent software controls? I’m looking to spend around $250-300, but cheaper options would be awesome too!

You might want to consider any good headphones or in-ear monitors (IEMs) since they can usually be tuned with equalizers to suit your taste. Generally, IEMs are more budget-friendly, often offering great sound for under $100. If you prefer headphones, do you have a preference for open-back or closed-back designs? They both cater to different listening experiences!
I’m okay with either style since my room isn’t noisy, but I really need something around $250-300 max. I’m looking for good audio control to avoid hurting my ears, and some setups would be a plus since I’m still learning about audio tuning.
