Hey everyone! I’m looking for recommendations on alternatives to RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) for Linux. Specifically, what do you use as a global FPS limiter for games that don’t have a built-in FPS cap? I really find the built-in FPS cap that RTSS offers quite useful, so I’d love to hear your thoughts!

You should definitely check out MangoHud along with Goverlay! MangoHud acts as a great replacement for RTSS and supports FPS limiting, plus Goverlay makes it easy to configure everything.
Another good option is just using MangoHud by itself. It even allows you to set multiple FPS limits, which is super handy!
If you’re using Steam, you can also try adding `DXVK_FRAME_RATE=222 %command%` to your launch options. Just swap ‘222’ with your desired FPS cap! This works really well for some games.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to try that out. Do these settings apply for DX12 games as well?
Absolutely! With the AppImages managed by Gear Lever, Goverlay has been working more reliably lately.
