Hey fellow Zelda fans! Nintendo has been pretty consistent with releasing new Zelda content every year since 2013, except for 2022 when Tears of the Kingdom was on the horizon. Looking ahead, we’ve got Age of Imprisonment set for 2025 and a Zelda movie planned for 2027, but what do you think we might see released in between and beyond? Any predictions or wishful thinking would be awesome!

Man, that’s an interesting take! Especially with the final Age game coming in 2029. Can’t wait to see how they wrap this whole story up!
For sure, Age of Imprisonment is slated for early 2026 since Nintendo wouldn’t drop it around the holidays without some serious hype beforehand. So here’s my take:
– 2026: Age of Imprisonment and a 40th anniversary encyclopedia in February, plus a concert series in June.
– 2027: We’ve got the Zelda movie in March, and I think a remaster of A Link Between Worlds could come out in October.
– 2028: Let’s hope for a brand new 3D Zelda game along with an art book in September.
– 2029: Expect a new game’s tie-in manga in January and two DLC packs throughout the year.
– 2030: I’d love to see a new top-down spin-off, with Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask getting some love on the N64 mini console too!
I think Age of Imprisonment will definitely drop early on in 2026, likely to avoid Christmas chaos. Here’s how I see the timeline:
– 2026: Age of Imprisonment.
– 2027: A new mainline Zelda game to wrap up the wilds trilogy along with the movie. Super excited for what the final boss might be!
– 2028: Hoping for a Link’s Awakening-style remake of the Oracle games.
– 2029: The final game in the ‘Age of’ trilogy.
– 2030: I’d love to see remasters of A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds come out!
No way, that would be awesome! But please, can we skip the DLC? I’m not a fan of that stuff.
