With the upcoming Switch 2, I’m curious about what everyone envisions for the ultimate Pokémon game. Would you want an expansive experience where you can explore all the regions and collect every Pokémon from the National Dex, or might that be too much to handle? Would you prefer a game that revisits past legends or would you rather see a completely new generation?

I’d prefer to ditch the end-of-the-world plots. The classic feel of exploring and searching for gym leaders was so much better, especially in the early games. Let’s bring back that adventurous spirit!
My vision for the ultimate game would be a choose-your-adventure style RPG! Every trainer could have classes with different goals. You could complete the game without battling or just focus on contests, and even join the evil team! Plus, multiplayer where everyone helps each other along their paths would be awesome!
I’d love to see the entire Pokémon world included with all the Pokémon available in the National Dex! It would be a dream come true to catch them all in one game!
How about a Black & White 3? I think it could capture that nostalgic vibe while introducing new elements!
For me, the ultimate Pokémon game would feel a bit retro! Imagine a 2D sprite-based design with Gen 4 graphics and music. We could have a Gen 5 battle engine and skip the global threats in favor of focusing on challenging the Elite 4 instead, leaving some extra secrets to discover along the way!
Totally agree! And it would be amazing if they added Gen 4 graphics to make it even more visually stunning!
