I’m curious to know which event in the World of Warcraft lore resulted in the highest loss of life. Personally, I think it might be during Wrath of the Lich King, where the Argent Crusade faced overwhelming numbers against the Scourge, losing soldiers who then turned into ghouls. What do you all think?

For the most loss on Azeroth, the first invasion of the Burning Legion sank much of Kalimdor, wiping out loads of inhabitants. But if you’re looking for the worst destruction overall, the creation of the Dark Portal led to Draenor’s own downfall, which was massive.
If we’re considering all lore, the Burning Crusade might just take the cake for all the deaths it caused across multiple planets. But for single events, I think the Sundering is hard to beat.
Yeah, the destruction of Draenor was huge too. It was like an entire planet went down!
I’d say the Great Sundering has a strong case. It destroyed about 80% of Kalimdor and caused countless deaths.
Totally agree! It was a massive and devastating event.
Agreed, those big events should definitely be considered when talking about losses.
