Last week, my PlayStation Network account got hacked, and the hacker changed all my security questions and my date of birth. When I reached out to PlayStation support, they just told me they couldn’t help due to security reasons. I’m really frustrated because I don’t understand how such a big company can drop the ball on customer service like this. Is there anything I can do to recover my account? I’m seriously considering switching to Xbox at this point!

Just a heads up that many people suggest sticking with physical copies of games. That way, even if your account gets compromised, you still have access to your games. Might be worth considering if you end up switching consoles.
It sounds like you’re in a tough spot. Unfortunately, you can’t change your date of birth on PSN anymore—it used to be possible, but that loophole has been closed for a while. Are you sure you’re giving the correct answers to the security questions? Maybe check again just to be safe.
I’m actually sure! The hacker altered my answers, so I can’t provide the right ones anymore. It’s so frustrating.
Man, I feel for you. I’ve heard similar stories lately. Have you thought about filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau? It might make Sony take your situation more seriously.
That’s a good idea. I might need to explore that option!
Definitely sounds like a rough experience. If PlayStation thinks you provided wrong information, they might just need the right answers to verify your identity. But if the hacker changed everything, that’s a serious issue. Have you tried to recall any details that might work?
The hacker even changed my phone number and date of birth. I’m totally lost on how to get back in!
Yeah, that might be the way to go for my future purchases.
