I just got my hands on a Switch 2 and I’ve already added Mario Kart World to my collection. Aside from the big titles like the Zelda games, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros., Super Mario Odyssey, and the Metroid series, I didn’t explore much else on the original Switch. I’m looking for recommendations on games I should definitely check out, especially for me and my two daughters, who are 17 and 19. I think it’d be fun for us to discover games that flew under the radar the first time around. By the way, I also game on my PS5 for some of those graphical adventures!

You really should try *Sea of Stars*; it looks gorgeous on the Switch 2! It’s a fantastic role-playing game that really shines on handheld, especially with that visual upgrade.
For something with a bit of strategy, you might like *Fire Emblem: Three Houses* as well as *Pokemon Violet/Scarlet*. They both have strong gameplay, and you’ll appreciate the improvements on the Switch 2. I’d recommend skipping *Sword and Shield* as they’re kind of outdated now.
If you loved Mario, you can’t miss *3D World/Bowser’s Fury*! They packaged two amazing experiences in one, and the Switch 2 really makes it pop. It’s like it’s entirely new with that visual boost!
If story-driven games are your thing, *Xenoblade Chronicles* is a must. Just play them in order; you can skip the spin-off. It has a rich narrative that’s quite engaging.
Definitely give *Animal Crossing* a shot; it’s a fantastic, relaxing experience! Also, *Pikmin 4* is a blast—even if you haven’t played the earlier ones. You should also check out *Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze* and *Luigi’s Mansion 3* if you haven’t yet.
Between *3D World* and *Mario Odyssey*, which one should I dive into first?
