I’m looking to buy a gaming desk and I need some advice on the size. I plan to set up a 24-inch monitor and a 27-inch monitor side by side, along with my mid-tower PC case right next to them. I was considering the Ikea Alex drawers desk which is 140cm x 60cm, but I’m unsure if that’s actually going to be big enough for my setup.

When it comes to desk size, it really depends on your room and how much space you want to sprawl out. Make sure to measure the lengths of everything you’re using and get a desk that fits it comfortably. If you’re even a little worried about space now, you might want to go for something bigger. I filled my wall with a desk that was 240cm long because back in 2018, I wanted room to expand my setup later.
It sounds like the 140cm desk will be sufficient but, honestly, if you’re even slightly worried about space, I’d recommend going for the bigger option now. You’ll probably regret it later if you end up wanting more desk space and have to upgrade.
I’ve got a 1800x750mm desk with a similar dual monitor setup, and it works great! If you’re leaning towards the Ikea desk, just remember that even though it might fit, you don’t want to be wishing for more space later. If you think it might be too small, definitely consider getting something larger from the start.
