Hey everyone! I’m really new to building PCs and could use some guidance. I’ve got an RTX 4060 TI, a Ryzen 5 5600G, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I’m considering upgrades, particularly for the GPU and RAM, but I’m not sure which one I should tackle first. I’m looking for budget-friendly options too.
I game on an 180Hz 1080p monitor, though I could drop to 120Hz if needed. I’ve been experiencing some stuttering during gameplay, which is super frustrating. It doesn’t happen constantly, but it gets worse during certain scenarios, like when it rains in games. Any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I’d recommend upgrading your CPU instead. Moving to an X or X3D processor can enhance the bandwidth for your GPU, improving performance overall. This might help with those annoying stutters you’re experiencing.
Consider upgrading your RAM first, especially if you can match it with your existing sticks. RAM upgrades tend to be cheaper than a new GPU these days. Wait a bit for GPU prices to stabilize before making that jump. Plus, more RAM can help reduce stuttering during gameplay!
Before you decide on upgrades, it would help to know what kind of games you’re playing and the settings you use. Are you into competitive games or more AAA titles? If you’re focused on gaming, share the resolution and what goals you have with the upgrades. That makes it easier to recommend!
I generally play competitive shooters and some RPGs. Just want to make the games run smoother!
