I’m working on a mod that focuses on adding some vanilla plus features, such as different wood types for chests, barrels, crafting tables, lecterns, and smiting tables. I also plan to innovate stone blocks like furnaces and stone cutters by introducing more stone types, including diorite, granite, blackstone, deepslate, and andesite. My main goal is to enhance the game’s progression. I’m looking for ideas on what else to add. Any suggestions?

You might want to think about adding an ancient sapling that players can get from Sniffers. Maybe you could make it biome-specific, where it only drops in certain areas, like jungles. It could add an interesting layer to exploration and farming in your mod! What do you think?
It sounds like you’re already on the right track! Since you’re focusing on vanilla plus elements, how about considering some unique crafting recipes that utilize those new wood types? You could add variants of existing tools or unique furniture items that would fit well with the aesthetic. But remember to start with what you have planned before branching out to avoid getting overwhelmed. Have you made any mods before?
