Recently, I had a hacking incident where many of my accounts were compromised. Thankfully, I was aware of the situation and managed to kick the hacker out of my PS5 account. However, they left me with ten dollars in my account, which I know isn’t a lot, but I don’t want that money. Is there a way to delete or get rid of those funds? Any advice would be appreciated!

And don’t forget to set a super strong password when you secure your account! That way, it’s harder for someone to break in next time.
Make sure you’ve got your account secured! Download the PlayStation app and link it to your account. Setting up notifications on your phone helps you know if anyone else tries to access your account. It could save you more headaches in the future!
Honestly, just use that ten bucks for something fun! Better than just sitting there, plus it might help you ease some frustration after the hack.
You might be stuck using that cash. Some folks suggest that the best way to handle it is just to spend it. You can’t delete the funds directly, but if Sony takes a while to respond, using that money for something small could be a workaround.
I’d say report this to Sony and let them know what happened. It’s possible the hacker used a stolen payment method, which is why they can’t just gift funds anymore. Better safe than sorry, right?
