I’m trying to decide on equipment for my Ipiranga. For slot 4, should I go with Steering Gears 1 or Damage Control Mod 2? And for slot 5, is Concealment Mod 1 or Torpedo Lookout System a better pick? I’m leaning towards Steering and Torpedo Lookout since I don’t have hydro, but I’m really stuck on what to choose.

I’d recommend Damage Control Mod 2 and Concealment Mod 1. The Ipiranga’s DCP isn’t as long as others, but you get those sweet heals. Improving your concealment helps you stay undetected longer, which is crucial for getting the jump on enemies. Besides, Steering Gears aren’t as critical when you already have decent maneuverability.
You might want to go with Steering Gears 1 and Conceal. Damage Control isn’t as effective on Ipiranga since it’s got a shorter cooldown. Plus, Steering helps you dodge enemy fire and torpedoes better, and with good concealment, you can control engagements better.
Going for Concealment Mod in slot 5 is a solid choice, especially in Ranked and Brawls where you’ll often be in close quarters. The earlier you can detect enemies, the better, as it allows your secondaries to start firing almost immediately once they’re in range. As for slot 4, Steering Gears will definitely enhance your maneuverability, making dodging torpedoes much easier since Ipiranga handles like a light cruiser. Damage Control is decent too, but with better handling, Steering might be more beneficial.
