Hey everyone, I’ve been frustrated with the number of rage quitters lately. It feels like when three out of five players leave mid-game, I’m left in a 2v5 situation that’s basically unwinnable, and I lose a ton of level progression because of it. I think there should be a system in place where we don’t lose much progression when this happens. Also, maybe they should implement temporary bans for players who rage quit, and increase the duration of the ban with each incident. What do you all think?

I get it’s frustrating, but I still play through even when it’s a 1v5. I try to use it as practice, even though it doesn’t really help all that much with actual games.
Sometimes it’s just that one person with connection issues, and then everyone jumps ship too. Forcing a game to play out when it’s obviously unwinnable just feels wrong. But yeah, there are suspensions in place for repeat offenders, which helps a bit.
I get where you’re coming from about losing less progression for leavers, but that could be abused. Like, if one person takes the fall for a whole group of friends, the game just becomes unbalanced. They do have a system where if you leave too often, the bans get longer, which is good, but I don’t know if they should make it harsher. Players already complain a lot about the bans.
Yeah, I hate getting demoted because of leavers too. It’s frustrating to go from winning streaks to losing game after game just because someone decided to bail out.
Maybe they could track group players better and limit how much one leaver can affect the rest? That should help a lot.
Definitely an issue, but keep in mind that it’s tricky to label someone as a rage quitter versus someone who just has bad internet. I often get kicked due to connection problems, and it’s super annoying getting penalized for that when it’s out of my control.
But there’s not really much practice in a 1v5! You’re just holding everyone up. If you want to practice, maybe try skirmish instead.
